Good To Be Back

I'm really starting to get into graphics, design, typography and such.  I found this awesome font online and just messed around with a few different ideas.  I'm thinking I want to blow these up and print them on canvas for our living room.  Just a reminder that instead of looking for artwork for your home, think of what you can do!!!

Graduation Sneak Peak!

It's that time of the year again!  GRADUATION!  My only sister is graduating high school and I absolutely cannot believe it!  Her theme: Zebra print, Pink, and HELLO KITTY!  How fun is that??!!  So, of course I decided to make a banner for her party.  I figured it is something she can use at the party then put up in her room after.  I will be posting pictures of her crafty graduation party later.  My mom has some pretty neat crafty tricks up her sleeve for party decorations and I CANNOT wait to show you!  I may have to post some early... 

ALSO: I just turned our spare bedroom into a craft room.  I've been away from crafting so long and it's good to get back!  Stay in touch!  Do you have any special crafty tricks for graduation parties?

                                   

Scrappy Banner!

I got banner happy today :)  I decided that our closet needed a makeover, so after painting it "Tropical Pool" by Behr paint, I thought that I needed to make a banner for our closet...  Make it cozy, and fun!  Even thought it's just a closet, it's where we start our day!  Pictures of the renovated closet will be posted soon!  Here is a preview of the banner!  Side note: Banner pics were taken in our bathroom - not our closet. 

Snow Fun!

What's more fun than crafting in the snow??!!  It wasn't too cold out today, and the snow was just right for building our snow family.  We started with just a snowman, but he needed a friend to keep him company!  Who said a snowman needs a carrot for a nose?!  We had to improvise and use a banana - though I don't think it's going to last very long.  I hope you don't forget to get outside and enjoy the snow while it's here.  A snowy day can certainly be a fun one. 

T-Shirt Scarf Mania!

The T-Shirt scarf craze has been around for a while - but I thought I'd post a few I made a few months ago.  If you are going to attempt to make these, make sure you get at least a size Large for the t-shirts.  I went to Goodwill for mine.  You can make them in any color imaginable!  I ordered black and gold tie-dye shirts and have the scarfs available!!  The are the same design as the dark pink scarf.  Let me know if you'd like to see a picture, they turned out really neat! 

Budget In Style

Budget, budget, budget!  We find it easiest to budget in our household.  Every Friday, I take out cash for Groceries, Fun Money, Personal Cash & Christmas.  I don't budget for everything, but when budgeting for these particular items, it sure helps save us money!  It's easy to go overboard on groceries, and going out to eat...  

These envelopes make budgeting easy, and fun!  I'll upload a template so you can make your own!  I just used scrapbook paper.  Make up a bunch ahead of time, and you'll be on the "fast track" to budgeting!
